Dying for Water Watch Trailer on YouTube

Synopsis

In the sun-scorched village of Wura Yaya, northern Nigeria, water is not just a resource—it is a relentless struggle and a fragile thread holding life together.

Fatsuma, a resilient mother, bears the grief of losing her youngest child to the village’s unsafe hand-dug well. Each day she and other women descend into unstable pits or trek miles for contaminated streams, balancing survival against danger.

Dying for Water (Maayugo Ndiyam) immerses viewers in this stark reality of climate injustice and maternal resilience, asking the haunting question:
“How many more must die before the world pays attention?”
